Mark this date!!!

Today, President Bush stated that the swearing in of John Roberts to the position of chief justice of the Supreme Court was "a very meaningful event in the LIFE of our nation..."

Sounds like code to me. What do you wanna bet that's a shout out to his right-wing Christian contingency that abortion is on its way out?

The Chimp added, "All Americans can be confident that the 17th chief justice of the United States will be prudent in exercising judicial power, firm in defending judicial independence and above all a FAITHFUL guardian of the constitution."

Let's just hope he didn't really mean "faith-based" guardian of the Constitution.

Hi, as someone who isn't religious at all and, I must admit, has some "interesting" opinions about religious practice, it's nice to FINALLY see a blog that isn't all about the grace of God, the reincarnation of Jesus in Bush and all sorts of things that are somewhat ridiculous. I like your blog and will check it out again soon!

Just curious if anyone read beyond the Roberts entry. If they did, they's see how much your blog IS NOT A RELIGIOUS BLOG. Simply someplace to vent about the joke that is our government. Oh, and stuff about comic books :)
